The Brooks are an established American family from Pennsylvania. The once wealthy Brooks owned farms in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
Upon the relatively early death of one of its patriarchs Mr. Brook, his only son and eldest child Henry Brook inherited the Brook estate. Due to the younger Brook's poor management, the family was left completely destitute and lost all of its money. Its remaining members left Pennsylvania and now all live in New York.
